As if the threat of Covid Cooties wasn't enough to send people running to the piggly
wiggly for enough toilet paper to face the end of the world as we know it, let me give
you 5 MORE weird threats that could spell DOOM for human kind. Check this out..
Ok, you MIGHT wanna break out your tin foil hats for this one folks, but I thought we
might want to have some fun here and explore some "stranger than fiction" threats that
may seem pretty wacky to you... but there's actually some weird science behind that is
really freaking me out.
A word of warning here... if you're inclined to any kind of anxiety or truly get freaked out
by threats, I don't want to debilitate you in any way so - I highly recommend you do
NOT listen to this podcast episode. Just go ahead and turn me off right now.
In fact, I was really doing kinda fine until I got an email in from one of our readers who
turned me onto a fiction novel I'll tell you about here in just a minute. I DID get the
book... and not only did is scare the bejesus out of me, but it got me thinking about
what OTHER weird threats were looming out there that I maybe haven't considered
before.
Like real "Planet of the Apes" stuff... which brings me to "Threat #1"...
1) Planet Of The Apes".
Ok, this is really out there and I'm NOT saying that we're going to be ruled by simian
overlords... but some people think that apes have evolved to our equivalent of the
"stone age" and there are reports now of chimps sharpening stones and sticks to be
used as tools and weapons.
One video I saw of a zoo in China was of a capuchin monkey. Apparently since
monkeys have been flinging sticks and stones (and feces) at spectators, they're now
putting up glass barriers as protection. Well apparently this monkey had been seen
sharpening up a stone for a little bit and there's a video of him going up to the glass
and literally shattering it into a million pieces with a couple of strikes.
